Adventure Recreation

Our challenge course activities are designed to push you physically, mentally and spiritually.  Participants grow as they challenge themselves and ultimately persevere.  Our recreation staff will debrief with your group after the challenge course experience, drawing parallels to the spiritual application learned from the challenge.  Challenge course activities are inspected annually and our trained staff is committed to your safety.

Archery

Archery

Participants test their skill as they attempt to hit the target from various distances.

Spiritual Application

Archery lets one experience first hand "missing the mark." God's word reminds us that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). However, God has given us the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23) and if we confess with our mouth "Jesus is Lord" we will be saved (Romans 10:9)

Cost: $40.00 per hour. Equipment provided.

Climbing Wall

At 35 feet high, the wall offers four separate routes, each presenting its own obstacles to overcome. Whether you are a first time climber or a pro, you're sure to find a challenge to suit your needs.

Spiritual Application

Life is full of difficulties and challenges, and we have to choose how to deal with them – do we give up or do we continue to fight the odds and reach the top?

Philippians 3:14

"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

Cost: $65 / hour for up to 28 people

Jacob's Ladder

Jacob's Ladder

Reaching a height of 30 feet, Jacob's Ladder is composed of three elements - a rope ladder, a horizontal log climb and a staggered tire climb. Two participants wearing full body harnesses attempt to climb this challenge as a team, assisting each other up the various components.

Spiritual Application

In life there are obstacles we face, and sometimes the only way to succeed is to use the friends that God has placed around us.

Proverbs 18:24

"There are 'friends' who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother."

Cost: $45 / hour for up to 8 people

Leap of Faith

Similar to a totem pole, the Leap of Faith is a telephone pole with a platform 35 feet in the air. Participants climb the side of the pole to reach the platform and then take their own leap of faith to reach the waiting trapeze.

Spiritual Application

Most campers, upon reaching the top, hold onto the pole for dear life. They don't trust the rope or the staff belaying them. What are the poles in our own lives? What keeps us from reaching out and trusting that God knows what He is doing and taking that leap of faith.

Matthew 17:20B

"I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible."

Cost: $35 / hour for up to 10 people

Leap of Faith

Zip Line

Zip Line

At over 425 feet long and reaching speeds of up to 25 miles per hour, you are sure to be exhilarated on the zip line. Participants experience the thrill of leaping off the 15 foot platform to zip down the cable to the bungee brake below.

Spiritual Application

To experience the joy and freedom that Christ offers sometimes requires throwing ourselves into the unknown.

Joshua 1:9

"This is my command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Cost: $60 / hour for up to 20 people

Paintball

With a vast course, campers join 2 teams of 10 for tons of fun. Participants must be at least 10 years old and have a release form signed by their parent or guardian. Campers are welcome to bring their own camouflage and body armor. Masks, guns, and paintballs are provided by Jenness Park .

Spiritual Application

In life, we need our brothers and sisters in Christ to come along beside us, especially when we are being attacked by the enemy.

Romans 15:5

"May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Cost: $25 / hour, per person
(Tippmann 98 Custom markers, V-Force masks and 200 rounds of paint)

Team Building

Team Building

Activities designed to develop relationships to complete a number of physically and mentally challenging initiatives. These games help the group as a whole to reflect on team building strategies and their spiritual applications.

Spiritual Application

Work is lighter when more hands participate. The Bible uses the metaphor of the human body to illustrate the workings of the church, which can also be applied to coworkers in any given field.

Corinthians 1:12

"Now the body is not made up of one part but of many."

Cost: $65 / hour for 15 people
